The New Zealand Qualifications Authority (NZQA) has cancelled the registration of Aotearoa Career and Management Institute (ACMI) as a Private Training Establishment.
Registration ended on Wednesday 2 April 2025 and the approximately 100 learners currently enrolled at ACMI will no longer be able to continue their studies with this provider.
The cancellation of registration follows statutory conditions being imposed on ACMI’s Diploma in Tourism and Travel (Level 5) in 2024 and additional monitoring in late 2024 and early 2025, which noted widespread and repeated issues with education and administrative practices.
“We appreciate this is a difficult time for the affected learners and our priority is to provide whatever practical support we can,” says NZQA Deputy Chief Executive Quality Assurance, Eve McMahon.
“We are supporting students to continue their studies with other providers and are working with other government agencies, as appropriate, to ensure as smooth a transition as possible,” Ms McMahon says.
If you are an ACMI student with questions about your enrolment, please contact ACMI in the first instance. You can also contact NZQA by emailing acmilearner@nzqa.govt.nz.
