This morning, the New Zealand Qualifications Authority (NZQA) announced the 2024 New Zealand Scholarship awards.
A total of 2,441 students across 37 subjects achieved one or more scholarships.
“New Zealand Scholarship represents the pinnacle of academic achievement for secondary school students in New Zealand” says Jann Marshall, NZQA's Deputy Chief Executive Assessment.
“New Zealand Scholarship challenges students to demonstrate advanced critical thinking, abstraction, and generalisation skills.”
“We are immensely proud of all the students who have accomplished this extraordinary achievement,” Jann Marshall added.
Recipients of New Zealand Scholarship awards receive financial support when they enrol in full-time tertiary education or training within New Zealand.
Students who participated in New Zealand Scholarship can log into the NZQA website to view their results.
The names of the Premier Award, Outstanding Scholar Award, and Top Subject Scholar Award winners will be published on the NZQA website on the afternoon of 12 February.
