It is important for learners to know about the Code so that they understand what support is available to them during their time in New Zealand.

Our 2022 Plan for Code Administration
There are no new or changed Code requirements for school Code signatories, so our monitoring continues “status quo”.
This includes the annual self-review attestation, which is due to NZQA by 1 December 2022. We will be in contact nearer the time about the process for this.
We understand that some schools may be preparing to welcome international learners again. If this is your school, we encourage you to re-familiarise yourself with the school’s self-review report, including the action plan to ensure that your policies and practices are up to date ahead of new learners arriving.
