AS 91196 clarification

Clarification for AS 91196: Interpret studied Latin text(s)

Clarification details

Updated May 2015. This document has been updated to address issues that arose from moderation.

Latin literary text(s) used for assessment purposes refers to passages in Latin drawn from the corpus of Latin literature as stated in Explanatory Note 4. Texts studied in English translated from Latin are not acceptable.

Work in which particular selected points have been fully expanded on, but which does not contain Latin references and/or quotations with an English explanation is correctly assessed at Merit.

Work must be assessed only against the standard and Explanatory Notes. For example, students are not to be penalised for not including a bibliography.
