Sociological Theories
Two sociological theories need to be examined. The examination should:
- compare the theories including both a similarity and a difference
- apply both theories to the same aspect(s) of society.
Teachers should note that Evidence Requirement 1.2 indicates that one difference and similarity is sufficient to achieve the standard. However, Explanatory Note 2 refers to differences and similarities, indicating that an explanation of more than one of each may help provide evidence for an in-depth (Merit) or comprehensive (Excellence) examination.
Concepts
A minimum of two concepts need to be included in the explanation.
