Foundation and Bridging assessment standards are about basic learning and employability skills needed to pursue education or employment pathways.

The Level 1 unit standards were developed to support assessment for programmes leading to the:

Skill standards focus on learning rather than explicitly on assessment as unit standards do.

The learning outcomes in skill standards describe the learner’s journey towards achieving the standard’s purpose.
