The Minister of Education has made two appointments and two reappointments to NZQA’s Board.
Current Board members Aiolupotea Lili Tuioti and Professor Cheryl de la Rey have been reappointed for a second term on the Board. New members Professor Wiremu Doherty and Siosaia Mataele will also join the Board from 1 September.
Professor Doherty has extensive Kaupapa Māori and education expertise, and is currently Chair of Ngā Kaitūhono, NZQA’s Māori Advisory Group. Siosaia Mataele is a young Pacific leader who has held a number of senior roles in digital transformation.
