2024 Code self-review and attestation

Under the Code, school signatories must regularly review the quality of their learner wellbeing and safety practices under Part 7 of the Code. Schools then attest that self-review has taken place at a date set by NZQA.

Self-review is a core component of quality assurance and encourages school signatories to evaluate the effectiveness of their learner safety and wellbeing practices.

The date for 2024 attestation submission due date for school signatories is 1 December 2024.

Further information on our 2024 Code self-review workshops and submitting your attestation will be shared in September.

Supporting cross-border students symposium

In June, ISANA NZ partnered with ANZSSA and the University of Auckland to host the first Supporting cross-border students symposium. Its presentations facilitated stimulating conversations, connections and collaborative strategies around this topic.

ISANA NZ in partnership with the University of Canterbury are hosting another symposium on supporting cross-border students at the University of Canterbury on 2 September 2024.

The symposium will offer practical strategies, tips and tools relevant to tertiary education providers and schools who enrol cross-border learners.
