2023 Code self-review and attestations

The 2023 Code self-review and attestation submission deadline has passed. Over 90% of providers have submitted their Code attestation.

NZQA has started reviewing submissions and connecting with providers if there are any issues or missing information. We will also be reviewing a sample of self-review reports for quality assurance and monitoring purposes. NZQA has been in contact with providers who have been selected for further review to share more information and next steps of this process.

NZQA would like to thank all providers for their Code attestations and for their continued commitment to learner wellbeing and safety. We look forward to sharing our insights in the new year.

Code 101 workshops

NZQA is re-developing the Code 101 workshops for 2024. These workshops are designed to give an introductory overview of the Code and key considerations for providers when implementing and giving effect to the Code.

Following feedback from participants, we will be making the workshops more engaging and relevant and change the times these are delivered so they suit providers better.

To assist us, please complete the survey below by clicking the “start survey” button. This survey will help us in planning our workshop delivery for next year. Responses are anonymous.

INQAAHE survey

The International Network for Quality Assurance Agencies in Higher Education (INQAAHE) is a world-wide association of over 300 organisations that are active in the theory and practice of quality assurance in higher education. NZQA is a full member of INQAAHE.

INQAAHE is conducting research on global trends in tertiary education quality assurance. INQAAHE has created a voluntary survey to obtain data from tertiary education institutions (TEIs) about their internal quality assurance practice. Further details of the survey can be found here.

If you would like your organisation to participate in this study, please click here to access and complete the survey. Responses are due 30 November 2023 NZST. NZQA will not have access to survey responses.
