Kia ora from Aotearoa New Zealand! Thinking about applying for an International Qualification Assessment, or IQA for short? Before you start your application, make sure you have all the required documents ready.

Firstly, we will need the photo and personal information page of your Passport. If there is a page that mentions your parents’ names, please also provide that page.

You will also need to provide all your post-secondary education award certificates. They will help us to see your education pathway to your highest qualification.

Finally, we will need all your transcripts, academic records or mark sheets for each year of post-secondary education to support your application.  

If your name on the passport is different from your application or academic documents, you will also need to submit evidence of your name change. This might include a marriage certificate, a deed poll document or an affidavit.

Regardless of which type of IQA you intend to apply for, it is essential at all application documents are full colour scans of the original documents.  We cannot accept black and white copies. Your documents must also be scanned clearly, with no blurred or missing information. Please make sure you scan the entire document with no cut-off edges or missing sections.

If your original documents are not in English, you must provide an English translation by a recognised official translation service for each document. Please note we cannot process your application without the English translation of your documents.

We recommend that you also include a syllabus or study programme description wherever possible, especially if you are applying for a Teaching or Skill Shortage List IQA.

Your application will be put on hold as incomplete if the documents submitted do not meet the acceptable standards, and your application may be cancelled if it remains incomplete. So make sure you have checked all your documents to ensure that they meet our requirements. You can find examples of acceptable documents on our website.

¡Kia ora desde Nueva Zelandia! ¿Está pensando en aplicar a la validación internacional de su calificación, llamada IQA por sus siglas en inglés? Antes de comenzar su aplicación, asegúrese que tiene todos los documentos necesarios a su disposición.

Primero, NZQA necesita la foto e información personal de su pasaporte. Si el pasaporte tiene una página que menciona los nombres de sus padres, por favor también incluya dicha página en su aplicación.

Segundo, necesita presentar todos los certificados o diplomas de su educación post-secundaria. Esto nos ayudará a conocer el camino de su educación hasta que obtuvo su calificación máxima. Finalmente, necesita presentar todos los transcriptos o records académicos que incluyan las notas obtenidas en cada año de su educación post-secundaria para respaldar su aplicación.

Si su nombre en el pasaporte es diferente al que figura en su aplicación o en sus documentos académicos, también deberá presentar evidencia de su cambio de nombre. Por ejemplo, certificado de matrimonio, escritura o declaración jurada.

Independientemente de que tipo de IQA quiere aplicar, es esencial que todos los documentos que respaldan su aplicación sean una copia escaneada a color de los documentos originales. No se aceptan copias en blanco y negro.

Sus documentos deberán ser copias claras sin información borrosa o faltante. Por favor asegúrese que capturó el documento completo sin cortar los bordes o sin que le falten secciones. Si la documentación original no está en inglés, deberá presentar cada documento traducido al inglés por un servicio de traducción oficial.

Por favor, note que no se procesará su aplicación si los documentos no están traducidos al inglés. Se recomienda que presente la descripción del programa de estudios de ser posible, en particular si está aplicando a la categoría Teaching o Skill Shortage List IQA.
