How NZ and United Arab Emirates qualifications frameworks compare

How New Zealand and the United Arab Emirates recognise each other’s qualifications

How the comparison works

NZQA and the United Arab Emirates National Qualification Authority have completed an initial mapping exercise. This compared the number of levels, level descriptors, domains and learning outcomes at each level on the qualification frameworks of both countries.

This exercise did not conclude that individual qualifications on the two frameworks, and the quality assurance systems, can be comparable.

Stakeholders and international experts did not endorse the results, so the comparison cannot be used for qualification recognition.
