The Effective Assessment Practice Guide
The Effective Assessment Practice Guide has been produced to provide schools with:
- direction on why and how to effectively assess for national qualifications
- reference to the relevant NZQA Rules and Consent to Assess Against Standards guidelines.
It provides an overview of what needs to be done to ensure that results reported to NZQA are credible and includes examples of how schools achieve this.
These examples have been gathered by NZQA's School Relationship Managers in their work with schools in New Zealand, the Cook Islands, and Niue. They may inform school processes and evaluation and help identify gaps in assessment practice after effectiveness self-review.
