AS 90995 Clarification

Clarification for AS 90994: Complete a media product using a specified range of conventions, from a design and plan

Clarification details

Updated December 2014. This document has been updated to address issues that have arisen from moderation.

Focus of the standard

The standard assesses a student’s ability to describe how two rules operate and the effects and implications of these rules on specific media practice, products and/or media users in New Zealand.

Definition of a rule

For the purpose of this standard, any code or principle that can be referenced constitutes a rule. For example, any code or principle that is written down (as opposed to a common belief in the industry).

Evidence for assessment

Students need to provide specific evidence in their discussion about how the rules operate.
