About Supported Learning
Supported Learning standards are for ākonga with learning or intellectual disabilities who need learning support through additional resources, specialised equipment, or adapted teaching programmes.
These Level 1 unit standards are listed on the New Zealand Qualifications and Credentials Framework (NZQCF). They may contribute to the New Zealand Certificate in Skills for Living for Supported Learners (Level 1).
Supported Learning standards are not expected to contribute to NCEA Level 1.
They have been developed by NZQA's National Qualification Services in partnership with the community.
