The NCEA Review of Achievement Standards (RAS) is part of a multi-year change programme led by the Ministry of Education.
In 2023, the Level 1 external assessments in development were piloted by a number of schools throughout Aotearoa. As a result of this, external assessment material was developed for use in the pilot. This material is available on the NZQA website and should be used with caution as it is based on now-expired versions of achievement standards.
The latest versions of achievement standards can be found in our search database. The new Level 1 Achievement Standards will be available after 12 December 2023.
