Tertiary evaluation indicators (TEIs) show what 'good' can look like in education and training.
This makes them a helpful tool for tertiary education organisations (TEOs) to use in self-assessment.
TEIs follow the principles of our evaluative quality assurance framework. This means they:
- are needs-based
- focus on outcomes
- are flexible in their application
- balance trust and accountability
- do not prescribe quality in only one way.
TEIs also help inform the answers to the key evaluative questions (KEQs). All TEOs answer these questions during external evaluation and review (EER).
EER evaluators use TEIs when reviewing organisations. They help evaluators find evidence of organisational performance and ability in self-assessment.
