About tertiary evaluation indicators

Information about the tertiary evaluation indicators we use in external evaluation and review

Tertiary evaluation indicators (TEIs) show what 'good' can look like in education and training.

This makes them a helpful tool for tertiary education organisations (TEOs) to use in self-review.

TEIs:

  • are needs-based
  • focus on outcomes
  • are flexible in their application
  • balance trust and accountability
  • do not prescribe quality in only one way.

TEOs can use the TEIs as questions asked while undertaking self-review as they will support finding evidence of organisational performance and guide self-review.
