NZQA National Qualifications Services (NQS) wishes to stand up an advisory group to provide strategic oversight and direction for the review the following qualifications:
Supported Learning qualifications are intended for people with a broad spectrum of learning disabilities, including those with intellectual disability, who require specialised support in relation to skills for living, further learning or employment.

Expressions of Interest for the Review Advisory Group
NQS is inviting Expressions of Interest (EOI) from providers and key stakeholders to contribute to this review.
Members of the advisory group will be appointed from secondary schooling, tertiary education and industry training sectors, and will have strong connections with the disability community, tāngata whaikaha and their whānau, disability or neurodiversity advocacy groups, and disability organisations.
The review will be guided by:
- the principles of the New Zealand Disability Strategy and the United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (UNCRPD)
- ngā kaupapa o te Tiriti o Waitangi (the principles of the Treaty of Waitangi)
- the advisory group’s recommendations, stakeholder feedback, and relevant NZQA technical requirements.

The Review Advisory Group will meet before the end of June.
How to lodge your Expression of Interest
Please email your completed EOI form by 29 May 2026 and indicate your availability between June 2026 and September 2026.
