New process for schools requesting approval for subcontracting arrangements

There is a new automated process for schools requesting approval of a subcontracting arrangement. The link to the process is on your school’s NZQA secure page. It can be accessed by those with a high security login through My Schools NZQA School Portal.  Select School Administration and Applications from the menu items.

Instructions on how to use the new process are on our website (use the link below) which includes:

  • completing the form to describe the non-consented providers capacity to deliver specified assessment standards.
  • outlining the agreements between both parties to manage this arrangement under the Consent to Assess Against Standards on the Directory of Assessment and Skill Standards Rule 8.2, 2022.

An application for a subcontracting arrangement is needed when a school with consent to assess wants to use a non-consented provider to assess standards and report results for their enrolled students, using the school’s provider code.
