The Code attestation form for for PTEs and wānanga is due 1 November 2022

We will be emailing you in the coming weeks to explain the self-review attestation process.

Our email will include a link to an online attestation form which will take around 10 minutes to complete. Each link will be unique – please do not share your link.

We will email this link to your organisation’s key Code contact. If you need to update your contact details, please log in to your NZQA portal. You can access the portal on our website, please click here and select the 'Schools and Tertiary Education Organisations login'.

Reporting complaints and critical incidents

We are continuing work to confirm a new process for TEOs to report complaints and critical incidents to NZQA.

This is a new Code requirement for us all. We are working with peak bodies and students’ associations to ensure reporting requirements and process are fit for purpose and will work for providers.

Once any new process is confirmed we will provide adequate notice of when it comes into effect and how to obtain any help that you might require.

Code resources

We’ve developed a range of resources to support you to implement the Code.

Our Code guidance sets out expectations for interpreting and applying the Code:

Guidelines for Code Signatory schools (external link) (external link)

Our Code to Code comparison tool helps you match clauses of the previous international Code to the current Code:

We hope these resources will also support you to complete your self-review.
