Email verification issues

If you didn't get a verification email from us, there could be a couple of reasons why:

It hasn't arrived yet

The verification email can take up to 10 minutes to arrive. Wait a bit then check your inbox again.

Our verification email is in your spam or junk folder

Check to see if our verification email is in your spam or junk folder.

You entered your email incorrectly

To check this, try and log in with the email or username you just gave us. If your screen says we've emailed you, then you've confirmed that you entered the correct email address.

It says I'm already logged in

This can happen if you followed the email verification link in the email multiple times. If your screen says you're already logged in, follow the 'back to application' link and log in again. 

Password issues

I've forgotten my NZQA password

I tried to reset my password but didn't get an email

  • Make sure you used the same email address you used when registering.
  • The email may take 10 minutes to arrive. If you've waited, check your spam or junk folder, it might be in there.

I used my old school email address for my NZQA account 

If you no longer have access to your email address, please call us on 0800 697 296.

I want to change my password

Log in to the portal and use the XYZ tab to XYZ.

My password doesn't work

  • Try clearing your cache and cookies, then close your browser and try again.
  • Double check your password, make sure you type it in instead of using copy-paste.
  • Reset your password.

Email address and username issues

I've forgotten the email address I use with my NZQA account

Try logging in with your username and password. If you can't remember your username, call us on 0800 697 296.
