Managing school data

Information for schools on managing school and candidate data

Data management

Schools need to send NZQA:

  • candidate details
  • candidate results and entries for internal assessment
  • candidate entries for external assessment.

Accurate information, including candidate information, is critical because NZQA uses this information and results to award qualifications and endorsements.

If external entries aren't accurate, there's an increased risk of administrative errors, such as the loss of papers in the marking process.

Schools, make sure you give staff the appropriate level of access in the MyNZQA school portal so they can complete their roles' tasks.
