Listing qualifications on the NZQCF

About the requirements for developing and listing qualifications on the NZQCF and qualification reviews

The New Zealand Qualifications and Credentials Framework (NZQCF) lists qualifications from Level 1 (certificate) to Level 10 (doctoral degree).

Qualification developers need approval from a quality assurance body to list qualifications on the NZQCF.

Quality assurance bodies

There are 2 quality assurance bodies responsible for approving qualifications.

  • NZQA is responsible for approving and listing all non-university qualifications.
  • Universities New Zealand is responsible for approving qualifications developed by universities.
