Supported Learning assessment support material

Resources and guidance for this domain

These support materials include assessor guidelines and ākonga/learner guidelines, and contain general information, assessment tasks, and sample answers, that reflect the outcomes of the Supported Learning unit standards.

They are intended as a guide, not teaching plans. It is expected that assessors will adapt them in a way that is relevant to the context in which their assessment occurs.

The standards are intended for people with learning disabilities, including those with intellectual disabilities, who require some form of support with their learning, either through additional resources, specialised equipment or adapted teaching programmes.

Assessor support resources

Online assessor support resources are accessible on NZQA’s Learning Management System, Pūtake.

This includes Transforming Assessment Praxis – how to modify existing resources, explore diverse ways of collecting evidence and practical, research-based ideas and resources.
