The following assessment support materials show how the Merit and Excellence grades in Legal Studies unit standards can be meaningfully assessed.

They are intended as a guide only. It is expected that assessors will develop assessment tasks that are relevant to the current context their assessment occurs in.

Assessor Support resources

Free online resources to support assessors are available on NZQA’s Learning Management System, Pūtake, via the Education Sector Logon. This includes Transforming Assessment Praxis – how to modify existing resources, explore diverse ways of collecting evidence, and apply practical, research-based ideas.
